Significant Oracle / Primavera Project Management Implementation Solutions

 

United States Coast Guard   06/09 – 03/11

Senior Primavera consultant implemented an Earned Value Management solution for the Aviation Logistics Center in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. The proposed solution integrated Primavera scheduling and resource management with other corporate systems for tracking time, cost, and maintenance hours on United States Coast Guard aircraft used for Homeland Security.

Senior Primavera consultant for Corporate Workplace Technology (CWPT) tasked with designing a Primavera P6 data model for managing the Bank’s Administration and Retail Division construction projects. Lead on-site design sessions and developed custom P6 training for bank and partner employees.

 

Bradford Brothers, Inc.  08/07 – 02/08

A utility contractor specialized in laying underground gas lines. Designed and deployed a Primavera P6 client/server and web based project management solution. Phase one was the creation of schedules for over 80 projects. Phase two initiated the resource management plan for tracking and updating these schedules with actual man hours and cost.

 

Weeks Marine, Boggs Paving, and SCE&G    04/07 – 07/07

Installation, implementation, configuration and schedule design of a Primavera project management solution for a marine contractor, highway contractor and a state owned nuclear power utility company.

 

City of Durham Public Works   03/07 – 01/08

Phase one was a 75 user base installation and implementation of Primavera P6 for the municipal engineering department. The system is set up to utilize resource dependent activities, updated through time sheets, to track municipal design projects and forecast work backlog. Phase two integrated the construction schedules with an internal document management system and Primavera’s Contract Manager application.

Implemented a web based document management, contract management, and project management solution for a power generation contractor. Integrated Primavera Contract Manager with Primavera scheduling. Migrated existing Primavera P3 power generation design and construction projects into Primavera P6.

 

Talecris Pharmaceutical   09/06 – 02/07

A pharmaceutical plant specializing in the manufacturing of plasma for human consumption. Installation and customization of a Primavera P6 project management schedule in excess of 5,000 activities to schedule the daily tasks of a twenty-four hour operations department.

 

Lucent Technologies   11/05 – 03/06

Installation of Primavera P6 and Primavera Web for the government infrastructure division for    approximately 100 users nationwide. Charged with the conversion of existing Microsoft Project schedules into the new Primavera Enterprise wide environment. Consulted on project management and web utilization of the Primavera tool set for future telecommunication jobs.

 

Jacobs Engineering    10/05 – 11/06

Installation and implementation of the Primavera P6 suite to connect multiple offices to the central datacenter in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Consulted with Jacobs’ project managers in Cincinnati, San Francisco, and Houston to create integrated design schedules.

 

Parsons Corporation  06/05 

Implemented a Workflow Collaboration solution for Parsons Construction division in Charlotte and the Life Sciences division in Boston. The project managers in both offices utilize the Workflow Collaboration to initiate a document workflow process. The Workflow solution is accessed by approximately 50 project managers to track the flow of electronic documents across 25 different processes.

 

Targacept Pharmaceutical   01/03

Implementation of a Primavera project management solution for a startup pharmaceutical company in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. A group of ten scientists use Primavera project management to track the early discovery phases of projects for larger clients such as Bayer and Wythe. The project management life cycle of molecular experiments are time lined using Primavera.

·                        In 1998-2001, managed a Lotus Notes based Customer Technology Delivery Process (CTDP)

·                        Developed an in-house workflow tool for interfacing network management with internal bank customers.

·                        End-to-end hardware architecture for workstation requirements, server platform (IBM and HP), VLAN switch parameters (Cisco), and CTDP interdomain routing issues

·                        Worked directly with outside vendors for hardware and software procurement: IBM (Lotus Notes license issues), HP (servers), Compaq (workstations and servers), Cisco (switches and routers), Wang Global (workstation download scripts), and contract based Lotus Notes software developers
